Pardon me as I take a trip down memory lane, but this happened one year ago today.

For such a small town, we had almost FOUR HUNDRED people come out for the world-wide protest of Monsanto and genetically modified food (GMO’s) today.

You know it’s important when an old woman in a wheelchair shows up. The occupiers even camped out last night and occupied part of New Paltz. This one man even dressed his dog up like a bumble bee (read more to find out why).

In case you don’t know much about Monsanto, it’s a super greedy corporation that’s responsible for agent orange and all our pesticides and is trying to patten the seeds of our food around the world so they can get rid of natural stuff and only make GMO’s available. That’s right. Killing off natural shit so we can eat fake stuff created in a lab that’s full of POISON. Bill and Melinda Gates, by the way, are huge investors, so don’t think their foundation is doing “charity work” like they claim it does. It’s purely for profit.

60 countries have banned GMO’s but the USA is way behind. Our FDA is run by the former vice president of Monsanto if they gives you an idea. 80% of our food here now has GMO ingredients in it. This stuff not only makes us fat and sick and causes diseases, it’s ruining our water supply, our soil, and killing bees (bees, by the way, are critical for the balance of the planet. Without bees, humans are fucked).

Also, Monsanto is responsible for the rain forest in Brazil being butchered too.

They are seriously the biggest threat to our planet right now and just had a law passed here saying that they’re above the law and aren’t legally accountable to anyone anymore. Awesome.

I’m sorry I keep posting about this lately but they’re about to pass the FARM BILL in Washington. The fate of our health and our planet is totally resting on people making speaking out against this greedy jerks.
